2) Rochester Lancers Wall of Famer and Roc City Boom defender Jake Schindler, who talked about how this season is different from his previous years in the MASL1 and coaching the MASL2 Lancers while playing last season, the team's 15-4 road win over Sahara Gunners and what the team will be doing to prepare for the final 2 games at Cleveland later in March.

Our special guest was the head coach of the MASL3 indoor Roc City Boom, Jim Hesch, who spoke what he has done in soccer since his last appearance on the show in 2013, how he became coach of the Boom, the former Rochester Lancers players on the team and Saturday's opener against Cleveland.
Front Row Soccer's Michael Lewis, the author of "Alive and Kicking, the Incredible but True Story of the Rochester Lancers" and "Still Alive and Kicking - The Story of the 21st Century Rochester Lancers" (go to rochesterlancersbook.com), talked about the passing of former World Cup and NY Arrows play-by-play announcer Al Trautwig, the current condition of USMNT legend Tony Meola after he suffered a heart attack last week, the initial weekend of matches in MLS and the upcoming She Believes Cup final between the USWNT and Japan.

Our special guest was Roc City Boom's record point scorer Rafa Godoi, who talked about his time between the Rochester Lancers and the Boom, scoring 13 points in the team's 30-10 win over Sahara Gunners (A new MASL3 record) and how the team is preparing for the rematch with the Gunners in Lockport this Saturday.
Front Row Soccer's Michael Lewis, the author of "Alive and Kicking, the Incredible but True Story of the Rochester Lancers" and "Still Alive and Kicking - The Story of the 21st Century Rochester Lancers" (go to rochesterlancersbook.com), celebrated his 50 year anniversary of covering soccer by reminiscing on his first event, the 1975 NASL indoor soccer regional tournament in Rochester. Michael also talked about Hope Solo returning to the pitch for the first time in a decade in the TST tournament in June, the passing of NASL referee Toros Kibritjian, the ruling on the lawsuit brough by the NASL against US Soccer and MLS and the $2.1MM transfer of USMNT's Jack McGlynn from Philly to Houston.
Andrew reviewed the draw for the UEFA Champions League knockout stage, gave the latest results and fixtures for the European domestic leagues and reported on the latest signings from Flower City Union and 1872.

This was a special edition of the show featuring interviews conducted at the State University of New York at Brockport Men's Soccer reunion held on September 21, 2024. The event celebrated the 50th anniversary of the 1974 NCAA Division 3 National Champion Golden Eagles and the undefeated 1968 team that was inducted into the Brockport State Sports Hall of Fame that weekend.
Featured are interviews with former NASL Rochester Lancers Kevin Gannon, Jim May and Nelson Cupello, former American Soccer League star and a member of the University of San Francisco Sports Hall of Fame for his contribution to the 1975 and 1976 NCAA D1 champion Dons, Mal Roach, and 2 members of the 1968 undefeated team, Dave Scheer and Dan Hickey.

Our special guest was the top goalkeeper in MASL3, Roc City Boom's Jakeb Mitchell, who spoke on how last year's Rochester Lancers M2 players pulled together to play for the Boom this year and keep indoor soccer alive in Rochester, the opening 21-4 win over Cleveland on Saturday and how he as a practicing nurse was able to assist when 2 players collided heads in the 1st quarter of the match.
