Our special guest was the player/coach for the unbeaten Rochester Lancers, the East Division MASL2 champs, Jake Schindler, who spoke on the team winning their final 2 matches to finish 12-0, the team effort it took to beat Utica twice, GK Jakeb Mitchell not giving up a goal in 83 minutes of play and the team traveling to Wichita for the MASL2 playoff having to win 3 matches in 3 days to take home title.
Front Row Soccer's Michael Lewis, the author of "Alive and Kicking, the Incredible but True Story of the Rochester Lancers" and "Still Alive and Kicking - The Story of the 21st Century Rochester Lancers" (go to rochesterlancersbook.com), talked about the US winning the CONCACAF Nations League 3-0 over Mexico and what that means for the team going forward, the draw for the Men's and Women's Olympic soccer teams, the funeral services for the former head man of the NPSL and current GM of Fiorentina in Serie A, Joe Barone, and the passing of amateur soccer hall of famer Howard Rubenstein.
Joe and Andrew talked about the new signings for Flower City Union and 1872, the latest international friendly results and some new records set, plus the big club matches this coming weekend.
