Welcome back to Andrew's Angle! It has been a while, hasn't it? I'm very happy to be writing this blog once again and sharing my thoughts on the world's game!
Thanks to everyone for being so patient with the long promised updates to the web site. Please get in touch with me at firstname.lastname@example.org to let me know what you think of the site and any ideas you may have for improvements or additional features.
There will be a number of new and exciting pieces of functionality with the new site that will be introduced over the coming weeks, including your chance to become a blogger and tell the world your opinions on soccer!
One soccer thought to leave you by; I admit that I was ready to turn off last Saturday's US-El Salvador match after the home side went up 2-0. I should be ashamed of myself! This US team is full of guts and intestinal fortitude, just like the great people of our nation. We are fortunate to have a veteran like Frankie Hedjuk in the back, as he led by example with his first international goal in over 12 years to tie the match at 2 apiece, after setting up Jozy Altidore's marker earlier in the second half.
It is hard to believe that over 12 years have already passed since Frankie Hedjuk was one of the players in that memorable match at Frontier Field between the Rhinos and the Tampa Bay Mutiny in the US Open Cup! Time sure flies, doesn't it!
